Our natural environment is made up of different ecosystems: coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass meadows, beaches, wetlands, humid forests, cloud forests, coastal lagoons, rivers, streams. At the same time, numerous species of animals and plants coexist in them that give life to our environment.

On the other hand, our populations and communities bring together people of different ethnicities, some of them belonging to the native peoples and others who, although they arrived later, are no less rich in history and traditions, all of them forming a diversity that makes our region unique.

They are all part of that heritage, some natural and others cultural, that we have the obligation to keep in good working order for the benefit of our future generations.
